Omaha pastoral care for those who are religious, non religious and spiritual.
We believe each human being is beautiful, loved and worthy…just as they are; religious, non religious or spiritual. Inclusive Life serves all, without exception! Inclusive Life knows that many individuals, couples and families do not have a “family” pastor or church. We also know that a majority of the population does not attend worship on a regular basis.
Our experience since, 2009, is that many people feel their faith and relationship with the Sacred is private and do not want to declare or follow a specific church or religion. And we know that some people do not have a religious or faith based belief, they are nonreligious (secular.)
Whether you are in a hospital, at home, a nursing home, long term care, prison, workplace or traveling, Inclusive Life Pastoral Care is here to help you. We offer a space for you to express whatever feelings you are experiencing. Releasing stress will aid in your physical, emotional and spiritual healing. Voicing your concerns without being judged may help you to see them realistically rather than allowing the emotions of the moment to become bigger than life.
You can expect that Inclusive Life Chaplains will provide service and care for you that is based on confidentiality, that will include good listening skills, support for individuals, couples and families, information and guidance, referral’s to support and information groups and providers, grief care when dealing with loss or death. In addition, we also provide services to those for couples who would like to get married, need premarital coaching, need help with life, want to be Baptized, want to have a blessing or dedication performed, need a hospital visit, would like someone to pray with them or be served communion. Regardless of your religious or spiritual beliefs, Inclusive Life is here to serve all without exception.
In addition to local, state and federal laws Inclusive Life serves all, regardless of: Age, AIDS/HIV Status, Citizenship Status, Color, Disability, Gender Identity, Genetic information, Marital Status, National Origin, Race, Religion, Sexual Orientation, Sex.
Inclusive Life does not have a set fee associated for the Rites of Passage and services listed below. We encourage and welcome donations to our non profit organization in the amount you can afford. Thank you!
Baptisms (Naming Ceremonies)
It is never too late to celebrate your relationship with the Sacred. We create custom religious, non religious and spiritual Baptisms and naming ceremonies.
Some parents prefer to have their infants and children baptized or have a naming ceremony. This ceremony can be completed most anywhere and can include sprinkling or full immersion (depending on venue.) For many, they will also name God Parents or Hanai Parents (Hanai (v.) – to adopt, to be close; to nourish, to sustain- an ancient Hawaiian practice.
Hanai ( Hon i ) you would pronounce it like this HON ( like honey) and I (eye), or Life Guardians which can be a beautiful part of the ceremony in which both “parents” would participate in the ceremony.
For adults, there are many reasons to consider a baptism or naming ceremony. Some adults do not recognize, or feel that their last baptism is meaningful, now. Some have never been baptized. And some have never had their relationship with the “sacred” concreted.
These ceremonies usually last around 15-30 minutes depending on readings, ceremony rituals included and participation with family and guests. These ceremonies can be done almost anywhere. Private homes, parks, gardens, hotels, are just some of the venues we have shared this beautiful Rite of Passage.
We meet with you to discover where you are in your life journey, what your beliefs are and how we can co-author a ceremony that will be meaningful, authentic and true to your beliefs and understandings.
Corporate event, group event, family reunion, community function… we are available to provide an opening prayer, or Benediction or other words for your event.
Home blessing, office dedication, there are many items and reasons to ask for a blessing or dedication ceremony. We help create a customized ceremony for each event.
A friendly smile, holding a hand, sharing a prayer. Support from family is important, and often the best medicine. Often people are without friends or family. Regardless of the situation if you or someone you know would benefit from a visit, please let us know. We can help.
Prayer and Laying of Hands
